Tender Morsels ties for Best Novel in World Fantasy Awards

with Jeff Ford's The Shadow Year. You can see Scott Edelman's pic of Garth Nix (far right) holding my statuette, here. Oh, there are a few other winners and representers there, too, I guess. :)

Hooray for Margo! Yayy! That's marvellous!

I shall pour a glass of bubbly especially for you next time I open a decent bottle. I will then drink it. But it's the thought that counts, right?

Well done, you--and full credit to all the other contenders. At the end of the day, you fully deserve this.

*dances*

I am ridiculously happy about this, because I have been loudly proclaiming that TM would take World Fantasy for over a year now.

I can finally shut up about it :D

Still dancing, though.

My name is Nadia, I'm from Russia and just preparing to start translating "Tender Morsels" into Russian. My heartiest congratulations on your yesterday's winning! Must say, I've been somewhat in awe of this strange and enchanting book, and now the title of "best novel" just adds to my feelings :)

Actually, I will try to do my best with the translation so that all your fans in my country could have the pleasure of reading "Tender Morsels".

My congrats once again!

Hi everyone, and thanks for your good wishes! There's a fair bit of dancing and bubble-drinking going on at the House of the Three Howies, too!

And hi there, Nadia - thank you for making contact! I hope you enjoy the translation process. I have to warn you, there are one or two words in there that I kind of made up myself...

Love to all the world - Margo.

Oh yes I suppose I already know which ones :) I was thinking to ask you one or two questions but haven't summoned enough courage to make contact. If you wouldn't mind my asking you, my e-mail address is svo.lochs at gmail.com. I will greatly appreciate some clarification.

Well it should have happened at the Aurealis Awards waaaaaay back in January but we seemed to shift into an alternative reality for a while there. Happily normal service has now been resumed. Congrats!!!
