The Howies At Home
Here are my two World Fantasy Award trophies, on the kitchen table with Christmas mangoes, panettone and flowers-from-Ruth.To be fair to Jonathan, the Howies have been in the house for some weeks; it's just that there hasn't been anything very picturesque around them.

Very nice. Though I have to say that is the creepiest of any award statue I've ever seen.
Sharyn: No, Ruth my friend the Instructional Designer (and reader of the right section of the newspaper - the flowers were for the Literature Board grant) - although I did get a very nice email from your Ruth too!
Jason: Agreed. Fortunately I have two of them, so they can stare each other down instead of looking out at me (when they reach their final resting place, my writing room mantelpiece). I don't know how people who only get one manage!
I think they're the best looking award anywhere. I love 'em. They look like Easter Island statues.
