Seiun Award nomination

My most successful ever short story 'Singing My Sister Down' is up for a Seiun Award(Best Foreign Language Short Story), which is voted on by people who go to the Japan Science Fiction Convention in July. The collection it's from, Black Juice, was translated by Chiori Sada and published by Kawade Shobo Shinsha, in May 2008.

Dear Ms. Margo Lanagan,

We are proud to announce that the 48th Japan Science Fiction Convention is going to be held on July 4- 5 at the Hotel New Shiobara in Tochigi prefecture, Japan.

We would like to invite you to attend our convention and, if that should prove impossible, to ask for a message from you to Japanese SF Fans.

In addition, we would like to inform you officially that your work " Singing My Sister Down" (from “Black Juice”) is nominated for this years "Seiun Award", the Japanese National SF Fan Award similar to the Hugo Awards presented at the Worldcon. The list of this year's Seiun nominations of Translation Divisions is below for your reference.

I would like to send you further information by e-mail. Will you please send me an e-mail?
